In view of starting research activities on study and implementation of Virtualized Network Functions (VNFs) for future hybrid networks (5G), leveraging key enabler tools and protocols such as OpenFlow and OpenStack, ROMARS company (www.romars.tech) aims to identify new skilled collaborators for a medium-long term time frame to be inserted in an academic research group or in an innovative university spin off start up.
Expected capabilities: designing, developing, configure and deploy testbed environments to reproduce real telecommunication networks, including (not limited to) the setup of application servers and clients, routing, TCP/IP addressing, QoS, traffic shaping, virtualization containers, VNFs, dynamic resource allocation, IoT.
Requested experience: Software development, Knowledge of virtualized platforms (VMWare, Docker, cloud services), NVF, SDN, Basic on networking (wireless communication standards, TCP/IP, network services and applications), familiarity with Linux OS, Networking and IT certifications (i.e., CCNA).
Master degree in Telecommunication/Computer Science Engineering is required as well as fluent English. The location of the job will be Rome.
